A remarkable example of Moroccan architectural woodwork heritage located at Dar El Manheen in the historic Medina of Fes. The recessed rectangular ceiling is sculpted from solid Atlas cedar wood, featuring a prominent circular geometric rosette encircled by rich Arabesque foliage (tawriq) and multi-layered carved border moldings. Complemented by traditional pierced brass hanging lanterns and carved cedar doors, it reflects authentic Moroccan aristocratic interior architecture.
